Common questions

I bought Pro on another device. How do I get it back?

Open Settings in Kilobyte (the gear on the camera screen) and tap Restore purchase. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with.

Where are my photos?

Every shot is kept in the Roll (the thumbnail next to the shutter). If "Save to Photos automatically" is on in Settings, it's also saved to your Photos library. Otherwise open the shot and tap Save.

Can I change the look of a photo after taking it?

Yes. Open it in the Roll and tap Edit to re-develop it with any other camera, change the date stamp, adjust the look or add a frame. The original is always kept.

How do I turn the date stamp off?

Open a shot, tap Edit, then Date, and choose Off. To stamp each camera's own year instead of this one (a 2003 camera stamps 2003), turn on "Stamp the camera's year" in Settings.

My video clips have no sound.

Kilobyte needs microphone access for clips. Turn it on in the iPhone Settings app under Privacy & Security, Microphone, Kilobyte.

Can I use the buttons on the side of my iPhone?

Yes. On iOS 18 and later the volume buttons take the shot. On iPhone models with Camera Control, press it to shoot and slide on it to flick through the cameras.

If I delete the app, do I lose my Roll?

Yes. The Roll lives on your iPhone only. Anything you've saved to Photos stays in Photos.
