Wordalo Support

Six classic word puzzles, refreshed daily. Free to play, with one optional one-time unlock. No subscription, no ads, no tracking. Below are the questions that come up most.

Buying and restoring

What do I get with Unlock Every Puzzle & Category?

Unlimited puzzles every day instead of three, every themed category unlocked so you can choose what to play, unlimited hints, and the printable PDF broadsheet export. It is a one-time purchase, never a subscription.

How much is it?

£4.99 in the UK, $4.99 in the US, €4.99 in the Eurozone, or the local equivalent set by Apple. One payment, yours forever.

Is there a subscription?

No, and there never will be. The only paid option is the single one-time unlock.

Does Family Sharing work?

Yes. The unlock supports Apple Family Sharing, so up to six people in your Apple Family can use the one purchase. Turn Family Sharing on in your Apple Account settings.

I bought it before and I am on a new device

Open the More tab and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with. Apple confirms what you own; nothing is charged again.

Your puzzles and progress

Does my progress sync between my iPhone and iPad?

Yes, if you enable iCloud sync in the app. It uses your own private iCloud, so your streaks, statistics and saved games follow you between your devices. We cannot see any of it.

Does it work offline?

Completely. Every puzzle is generated on your device and the app makes no network requests at all, so it works on a plane, on the Underground or anywhere with no signal.

Can I print puzzles?

Yes. You can export any puzzle as a clean multi-page PDF, including a layout sized for e-ink tablets. Printing needs an AirPrint-compatible printer.

Languages

What languages is Wordalo in?

The interface is available in 17 languages. Spanish, German, Japanese, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese also have their own hand-built puzzle content, with thousands of words and clues written natively for that language rather than machine-translated. The remaining languages use the English puzzle set with a fully translated interface.

Accessibility

Does it work with VoiceOver and larger text?

Yes. Wordalo supports VoiceOver throughout, including the puzzle grids, and respects your system text size. If something is awkward to use with assistive technology, please email us; those reports get priority.

Still stuck?

Email contact@chardie.co.uk. It goes straight to the person who made the app, and bug reports and accessibility issues are answered first. Telling us your device and iOS version helps a lot.
