App support
Boardalo support
Thirty-seven classic board games, each with an interactive lesson. Free to download, with one optional one-time unlock. No subscription, no ads, no tracking. Below are the questions that come up most.
Buying and restoring
What's free, and what does the unlock buy?
Ten games are free forever, including Chess and the museum set (Senet, the Royal Game of Ur, Viking Hnefatafl and more). A single one-time purchase of £4.99 (or your local equivalent set by Apple) unlocks all thirty-seven games, forever. There is no subscription and no in-app currency.
Does Family Sharing work?
Yes. The unlock supports Apple Family Sharing, so one purchase covers your Apple Family. Turn Family Sharing on in your Apple Account settings.
I bought the unlock and I'm on a new device
Open Settings inside Boardalo and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with. Apple confirms what you own; nothing is charged again.
Playing
How do I learn a game I've never played?
Open any game and choose its lesson. The coach sets up the board and teaches you by playing: you make real moves, and the rules arrive exactly when you need them.
Can two people play on one device?
Yes, pass-and-play works in every two-player game. You can also play someone on another iPhone in the same room (Play Nearby), or a Game Center friend online (Play Online). Nearby and online play use Apple's own frameworks and exchange only the moves of the match.
Does Boardalo work offline?
Completely. Every game, lesson and puzzle lives on your device. Only online multiplayer needs a connection.
What languages does Boardalo speak?
English plus fourteen full localisations, including French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese and Portuguese.
