Numalo Privacy Policy
Last updated 9 August 2026
Numalo does not collect your data. There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no user accounts. The app makes no network requests of its own.
What we collect
Nothing. Numalo has no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporting service and no telemetry of any kind. We do not know who you are, that you installed the app, or what you played.
Where your data lives
- On your device. Your puzzle progress, streaks, statistics, achievements and saved games are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad.
- Your own iCloud, if you turn it on. If you enable iCloud sync, that data is written to your personal private iCloud storage so it can follow you between your own devices. It is stored under your Apple Account and governed by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to it and cannot read it.
Puzzles are generated on your device
Every Sudoku, cross-sum, binary grid, inequality grid, shading puzzle and number sequence is worked out by the app on your own device, at the moment you ask for it. Nothing is downloaded and no puzzle library is fetched from a server. This is why Numalo works with no signal at all, and why nothing you do needs to leave your device.
Purchases
Numalo is free to download. There is one optional non-consumable in-app purchase, "Numalo Unlimited", which costs a single payment and never renews. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details. Family Sharing is enabled, so the purchase can be shared with your Apple Family group. Restoring a purchase asks Apple, not us, what you already own.
Notifications
Optional local reminders about the daily challenge are scheduled by the app on your device. They are never sent from a server and involve no push token.
Children
Numalo is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. Because the app collects nothing, it collects nothing from children either.
Your rights
Since we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete. To remove everything Numalo has stored, delete the app; to remove synced data, delete it from iCloud in your device settings. If you are in the UK or EU and want to raise a concern, you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top.
