How to play Merge
Slide, merge and build the biggest number you can.
The rules
- Swipe to slide every tile as far as it goes.
- Two tiles with the same number merge into one worth double.
- A new 2 or 4 appears after every move. Reach the goal tile to win.
- If the board fills and nothing can merge, the game is over.
A quick example
Swipe left: the two 2s merge into a 4. Each tile merges once per move.
Tips
- Keep your biggest tile in a corner and build towards it.
- Favour two directions (say left and down) and avoid the others.
- Keep a row full so your big tile can't be pushed out of its corner.
- Reached the goal? Keep going for a higher score.
